UX and interface design for Gumlet, a video platform that has to make sense to creators, brands and developers at the same time.

The brief
A lot of capability, several kinds of user.
Gumlet is a video hosting and streaming platform with DRM protection, image optimisation and video APIs. Its customers range from course creators and e-commerce brands to consumer apps, agencies and developers.
That range is the design problem. A course creator wants to upload a video and share it. A developer wants an API key and clear documentation. Both use the same product, and neither should have to wade through what the other needs.
What we designed
Keep the power, lose the clutter.
We worked on the UX and interface design, with the aim of making a technically deep product feel simple to the person in front of it.
The approach was the one we use on every SaaS product: understand who uses which part and why, design the paths they take most often first, and build the interface from a consistent set of components so new features fit in rather than pile up.
What shipped
Designed, delivered, and live.
The work is live in Gumlet’s product today, and Gumlet’s CMO described working with us as a game-changer for the platform.
Working with Dcycle was a game-changer for us. Their expertise in design and development helped us elevate our platform with a seamless, user-friendly experience.
