Caprix, financial planning for research labs

The brief

Labs run on grants. Grants run on forecasts.

Caprix helps grant-funded labs plan their finances, with automated forecasting, scenario planning, capacity planning and central grant tracking for principal investigators and finance teams.

For a lab, a bad forecast is not an accounting problem. It decides whether a post-doc can be hired or an experiment can run. So the product has to be accurate, and it has to be readable by scientists, not only by finance people.

What we developed

Numbers people can trust.

We handled the development, turning the product into working software that principal investigators and finance teams use side by side.

With a data-heavy product, the build is where trust is won or lost: figures that load fast, stay consistent from one screen to the next, and update when the plan changes.

What shipped

Built, shipped, and live.

Caprix is live at caprix.ai, giving labs forecasting, scenario planning and grant tracking in one place.

Got something like this to develop?

A data-heavy SaaS product, or a forecasting tool people need to trust. Either way, it starts with a call.
