One app that has to feel personal to the client and efficient to the trainer at the same time.

NextRep is a mobile application that streamlines communication between gym trainers and their clients: structured programmes, monitored progress and daily fitness activity in one place.
Two roles in one app: the client gets todays workout and progress they can actually see; the trainer gets a roster, follow-ups and plan expiry dates. Designed and built in nine weeks by a two-person team.
Clear visibility of progress leads to higher motivation. That sentence is the entire product thesis.
In-person training works because the trainer can see you. Remote training removes that, and everything the trainer relied on (form, effort, honesty about the week) becomes self-reported.
Separate the roles, share the system: client and trainer see different apps built from the same components.
Concept to build in nine weeks, with both audiences served by one shared design system rather than one side getting the leftovers.

Screens from the NextRep app: the client side and the trainer side of one system.
